5 Local Food Experts Reveal Their Favorite SGF Dishes

July 30, 2016

We love food. We especially love all the great local restaurants Springfield has to offer. Why go to a chain when you could keep it local and help out a fellow Springfieldian’s business? There’s nothing wrong with Chili’s every now and then, but the local grub is where it’s at. We recently asked a few of our favorite local chefs about their favorite dishes in the city, not including their own restaurants, of course. Here they are!

Tony Ewing, Houlihan’s

Surf & Turf at Farmers Gastropub

“I took my wife there for our anniversary last year and they made us a great surf & turf. The new owner there is doing some fantastic stuff.”

“I don’t get to sit down and have a meal very much.  Being a restaurant owner is a lot like being a doctor or a realtor. You’re on call 24/7!That’s why I love to sit down and have a beer at Touch.  I can have an appetizer and a drink and be done very quickly.”
