7 Must-Try Rogersville Restaurants

March 8, 2019

Rogersville is on fire right now. The real estate market there is growing so fast! Home builder Kenny Bussell has completed more than 100 homes in Rogersville over the past two years and plenty of folks are projecting a doubling of the city’s population by the time the 2020 census rolls around. The number of homes sold in from 2017-2018 increased 23% over the previous period. In  a growing city, the people are gonna need plenty of places to chow down. All these new residents are in luck, because there are already a bunch of great eateries in Rogersville. Let’s take a look at some of the local faves!

HARVEST

8011 E State Highway AD

(417) 830-3656

This spectacular farm to table restaurant is a beautiful 9 minute drive just east of Springfield, situated within the Sunshine Valley Farm Apple Orchard. All of their ingredients come from local Ozarks farms; they grow and source the best ingredients, then handcraft a menu where flavor and execution are priority! Chef Craig von Foerster has spent his entire 30+ year career crafting menus that are driven by the seasons, flavor and experience. The idea behind Harvest is to order one item from each of the four courses to make a full meal. Each week the menu changes according to what products are perfectly ripe. Be sure to make a reservation and join them for dinner!

THE GARDEN TEA ROOM

201 Helena Ave

(417) 753-4777

The Garden Tea Room is a cute little spot in Rogersville to grab lunch with friends! This place has a different take on quiche– the crustless quiche options change daily and they are pretty darn delicious. Also be sure and try the chicken salad sandwich on their buttery croissant, and don’t miss the homemade miniature beer bread loaves! They are open Monday-Saturday from 11:00am-2:00pm.

Cozumel Mexican Restaurant

110 Dempsey Dr A-C

(417) 753-1004

Gone are the days that locals have to leave town to enjoy classic Mexican dishes. Fans of Cozumel rave about the customer service and the margaritas. Just because it’s the only Mexican restaurant in town doesn’t mean it’s a run of the mill spot. It’s definitely worth a look!

SKINNER’S RIBS & BBQ

US-60 & Farm Road 241
(417) 753-2845

Skinner’s is a BBQ & burger food truck located on Hwy 60 just 7 miles east of Springfield toward Rogersville! They are open from 11:00am-7:00pm, Thursday through Sunday. They have been in business for 19 years, so they know what they’re doing! You might recognize their grub by their signature branded bun. A crowd favorite is the BBQ burger: 1/3 burger topped with smoked brisket, smoked cheddar, bacon, & Skinner’s BBQ sauce. Their sauce and rub are available for sale, so you can get the taste of Skinner’s in your own kitchen! Don’t forget about the cupcakes, cookies and ozark turtle bread pudding– we hear they are delightful.

Pizza Place

110 Dempsey Dr Ste J

(417) 753-0369

Sometimes, just keeping it simple is the best thing to do. If you couldn’t tell by the name, that’s what Pizza Place does best. They have five different specialty pizzas and the rest is up to you. They also serve gyros and sandwiches they called weggies. They have great lunch specials and are open every day of the week.

Sky Dragon

103 Redbud St

(417) 753-3534

Sky dragon brings cuisine from the East to the people of Rogersville. The love of cashew chicken goes beyond the city limits of Springfield and this place provides a great service to fans of Springfield’s signature dish. If you dine in, you can enjoy a buffet style meal. If you’re in a hurry, just swing through the drivethru!

Post Game Pizza

319 South Main Street Suite I

Originally opened in Marshfield back in 2015, Post Game Pizza added a location in Rogersville last April. This is a great spot to take the kids after a sporting event or to take yourself to watch your favorite team. They’ve got both thin, crunchy crusts and hand spun doughy crusts to choose from along with a wide variety of toppings and specialty pies. Plus, they deliver!
