St. Patrick’s Day in Springfield offers tons of different activities. There’s a long tradition of parades, events and more to choose from, both kid-friendly and not so kid-friendly.  Whichever you’re looking for, we’ll run down the most popular events in the area.


Mother’s Brewery presents St. Pat’s Day Home Run Derby

When: March 17, 2:00 p.m.

Where: Mother’s Brewery


Come join Queen City Wiffle Club at Mother’s Brewing on St. Pat’s for a fun afternoon of smashing dingers! 100% of the entry fees ($5 per player) go towards field equipment for our debut 2018 Season. Champion gets custom trophy and cash prize. Make sure to register as this event will be capped at 30 players to make sure we can fit it into a 2 hour time slot.

St. Patrick’s Day Gala

When: March 3, 6-9 p.m.
Where: Oasis Hotel and Convention Center 2546 N Glenstone Ave


Proceeds go to help fund programs at one of the Council of Churches 9 outreach services. Attire: Cocktail or St. Patrick’s Day attire. Back Road Story at Southbound

When: March 17 at 9:00 p.m.
Where: Southbound Bar & Grill 5739 S Campbell Ave, Ste B


One of the area’s best up and coming country bands is playing at Southbound on St. Patty’s! Stop in and check out their set which is influenced by Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood. Check them out online, right here!






One of the longest standing traditions in Springfield is the Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade.  It’s a pretty amazing celebration that goes through the streets with floats, bands and pets!  The route goes from Commercial Street all the way down to Elm and Booneville from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. There’s also costume contest for people and dogs, a musical contest and plenty more to do! The parade is family and pet friendly, but there’s also an after party at Patton Alley Pub for the older folks.

ShamRox Springfield 15K & 5K

When – 8 a.m.-noon
Where – Dublin’s Pass Irish Pub, 2767 W Republic Road

Paint Springfield green for a St. Patrick’s Day celebration you will not want to miss. Join in on the annual Dublin’s Pass ShamRox Run St. Patty’s Day themed road race and beer festival. Sign up for the 15K or 5K The race starts and finishes right at Dublin’s Pass in downtown Springfield. $25-$200. 573-445-2664

Conservatory of the Ozarks Celtic Recital

When – 2-3 p.m.
Where – Library Center, 4653 S Campbell

Join Conservatory of the Ozarks music students for a fun evening of Celtic music and songs of the British Isles. Students of all ages will participate in this memorable afternoon at the library in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. 417-592-1756.


DUBLIN’S PASS’ St Patrick’s Day Celebration!


It’s really more than just a weekend celebration.  At Dublin’s Pass, it’s pretty much always St. Patty’s Day, but they do get especially geared up for the official holiday.  On Saturday, March 11th, Dubliln’s Pass will host a 5K/15K  to benefit Ozarks Food Harvest.  Immediately following the run is the ShamRox BeerFest.  All participants in the run will receive free food and drinks.

The following weekend, Dublin’s Pass will have tons of specials on Irish drinks at it’s Downtown location. If you can’t make it Friday, swing by on Saturday during the Queen City St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl!
