Celebrating St. Pat’s Day in Springfield comes with tons of options! Here are a few local things that are happening on March 17th as well as some of the festivities that are continuing through the weekend.
The 36th Annual Springfield St. Patrick’s Day parade is happening this year on March 19th! What began as a small group of fun-loving participants has blossomed into one of the largest annual events here in SGF. The parade is family-friendly, open to a wide range of people and full of joy. Donations and sponsorships make the St. Pat’s Day parade possible. It all starts at 12:30pm on Saturday, March 19 with an Irish Pet Contest near the Jefferson Footbridge on Commercial Street.

This is a great event put on by Metro farmer on St. Patty’s Day. Tickets are only $40 per person for a five course meal paired with some excellent Public House Beers. You can call 417-720-1665 to reserve a seat today!
Join the local radio station 92.9 The Beat at Bugsy Malone’s on Republic Road on St. Pat’s Day. It starts at 5:00pm and goes until 10pm, with a live DJ and a photobooth. The Speedy’s Cowabunga and London Calling food trucks will be on site to provide good food as well!
If you’re looking for some good Irish fun, head on over to the Macadoodles on Independance in SGF. They’re having a St. Patrick’s Day Outdoor Beer Garden (weather permitting) from 2:00-6:00pm. They’ll have Irish beers for $3 and Jameson cocktails for $4. There will also be food available for purchase from Neighbor’s Mill!
On March 17, Civil will be serving up green beer, Irish coffee and green mimosas all day, starting at 10am. They will also be offering a special dish of Irish salmon! You can enjoy the Springfield St. Pats Day parade right from their patio, or enjoy it from their 2nd level bar, The Copper Still, which is open until noon.
