Driven by historically low interest rates and increased demand, 2021 was a record setting year for real estate in the Ozarks.

AT A GLANCE

Despite the low inventory of homes available on the market, the number of homes sold (8491) was higher than any other year on record, beating out the second highest year (2020) by over 200 homes. Over 7% of homes sold were new construction, and approximately one out of every three homes were purchased by first time home buyers.

SALES BY PRICE RANGE

Home prices continued to soar throughout 2021, topping out at a record median sales price of $239,325 for December, which is a 31% increase over January. The average median price for homes sold in 2021 was $212,600, which is an increase of slightly more than 16% over the previous year.
