As the end of the year draws near, the new years resolution lists begin to take shape! The Springfield area has a wealth of fitness facilities to chose from for your New Year’s fitness goals and we thought we would share just a few with you that won’t break the bank.
The community is what has inspired Physique Fitness to become what it is! They have a beautiful studio located downtown on Boonville. They offer some more unique classes in Springfield, including Barre (low impact, high energy, and loaded with fantastic music), Physique Body Boom (cardio and strength intervals) and Physique Dance to Feel (a rhythm and ab combo class).
Based in Kansas, Genesis Health Clubs expanded to the Ozarks and stepped up the fitness game with two Springfield locations on Battlefield and on Glenstone! Each location provides cardio and weight training equipment, group fitness classes, free yoga classes with a membership and much more. They are offering a free 7 day pass, so snatch that up if you’re thinking about trying out this gym.
Planet Fitness has experienced trainers, friendly staff and state-of-the-art equipment in a Judgement Free Zone! Also with two locations in SGF, Planet Fitness is only $10 a month. Their locations include: free unlimited fitness training, a laid back environment, cardio and strength machines and a whole lot more.
New on Commercial Street, Sangha Studio offers safe, thoughtful yoga classes for the beginner and seasoned yogi! They have child care available for those who participate in the all of the classes. They offer classes ranging from the basics to the most experienced. Sangha also has a shop in their studio; they strive to connect the community by supporting local artists, farmers and companies. If you like their page on Facebook, you can receive 30 days of unlimited yoga for $30!
The members of the Meyer Center have access to screenings and assessments, classes, and personal services to help them stay on track as they work toward a healthier lifestyle! At CrossFit Springfield, they work exclusively with compound movements and shorter, high-intensity cardiovascular sessions. There isn’t a strength and conditioning program anywhere that works with a greater diversity of tools, modalities, and drills other than Crossfit! Whatever your fitness or wellness aspirations may be, they want to help you meet and surpass your goals.
Sumits is a place that has become more than just a yoga studio! They understand the healing benefits of the heat, because the body protects itself from injury during physical exertion by generating heat inside the muscles. When the heat is present upfront, the body is protected even further. All Sumits Yoga classes are done in a heated environment. They are located at 2680 S. Glenstone if you are thinking about giving hot yoga a try in the new year.
At 10 Fitness, their number one priority is to help you feel comfortable, relaxed and appreciated in their facility, regardless of the physical condition you are in when you join. Everybody is unique and everyone can improve their level of fitness– the important thing is to get started!
