“Cameron Mackintosh presents the new production of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg’s Tony Award®-winning musical phenomenon, LES MISÉRABLES, direct from an acclaimed two-and-a-half-year return to Broadway. With its glorious new staging and dazzlingly reimagined scenery inspired by the paintings of Victor Hugo, this breathtaking new production has left both audiences and critics awestruck, cheering “Les Miz is born again!” (NY1). Set against the backdrop of 19th-century France, LES MISÉRABLES tells an enthralling story of broken dreams and unrequited love, passion, sacrifice and redemption – a timeless testament to the survival of the human spirit. Featuring the thrilling score and beloved songs “I Dreamed A Dream,” “On My Own,” “Stars,” “Bring Him Home,” “One Day More,” and many more, this epic and uplifting story has become one of the most celebrated musicals in theatrical history. Seen by more than 130 million people in 44 countries and in 22 languages around the globe, Les Misérables is still the world’s most popular musical, breaking box office records everywhere in its 33rd year.”
For the past 91 years, the Harlem Globetrotters have been spreading joy through the game of basketball. They’ve played in 123 countries and on 6 continents and they’re coming back to play in Springfield. It’s a great way to introduce kids to the game in a fun way.
Jason Aldean is back on tour promoting his new album, 9. It’s his ninth studio album and will surely have another couple number one hits on it. He’s had a whopping 24 number one hits in his career and he’ll be playing them for you and your friends at the Q.
Rock and Roll Hall of Famers KISS are going to be in Springfield on their final tour ever! If you’ve always wanted to to see them, don’t miss out because you won’t have another chance (probably). They’re easily one of the most recognizable rock bands of all time and have had 30 gold albums and 14 platinums. It’s sure to be a blast for folks who love classic rock.
Alan Jackson is not only one of the most famous musicians of all time, he’s also up there in terms of records sold. He’s sold 75 million records in his career. He’s had 66 songs appear on the Billboard charts and he’s gonna be playing them right here in the Queen City in March. Keep an eye out for tickets!
The 2019-2020 season at Juanita K. is going to be huge. In addition to one of the most popular Broadway plays of all time in CATS, they’ll also be featuring Les Miserables, Waitress and Escape to Margaritaville. Now is a great time to become a season ticket holder if you love the theater. If you don’t love it yet, try it out. They put on one heck of a show!
